The one word I am going to spend my entire life trying to know and integrate is “Dao”.
I am obsessed with understanding Dao even though I know that the closer I get to it, the less I will know. This word is nearly un-nameable because it takes on a unique meaning for each unique person. And I swear, I’m not trying to be obtuse on purpose here.
The words we have to translate “Dao” in English is a good try, but it’s hard to capture such an elusive word. We call it Road. Path. Middle Way. Purpose. And when I roll these words along my tongue, examining them to see if it matches what it feels like in my Heart, I feel a bit like Goldilocks with the too small bed, the too hot porridge and the too big chair.
In this episode, I’ve asked Mara Branscombe to join me in conversation to help capture what it means to live in harmony with intention, intuition and alignment with the Dao.
